This policy explains how Eduardo Wöetter processes personal information when you browse the site, contact us, subscribe through a third-party service, interact with advertising or follow an affiliate link. It is designed as a transparent baseline under Brazil's LGPD, the EU/UK GDPR, California privacy law and other applicable rules. Rights and obligations vary by location.

1. Information we process

  • Technical and security data: IP address, date and time, requested URL, browser, device, referrer and server events may appear in hosting and security logs.
  • Preferences: language, accessibility and privacy choices stored in cookies or local storage.
  • Audience data: pages viewed, approximate location, campaign source, interactions and device information when analytics is permitted.
  • Advertising data: cookie or device identifiers, ad interactions and inferred interests may be processed by Google and its advertising partners according to your choices and applicable law.
  • Communications: your name, email address and the content of a message when you contact us.
  • External services: newsletter, social media, embedded content and affiliate providers may receive click, device and transaction-attribution data when you use their services.

We do not intentionally request sensitive personal data. Please do not send it through ordinary email.

2. Purposes and legal bases

We process information to deliver and secure the site, remember requested settings, measure and improve content, respond to messages, prevent fraud, comply with law, display and measure advertising, and attribute affiliate commissions. Depending on the activity and jurisdiction, the basis is your consent, performance of a requested service, compliance with a legal obligation, or our legitimate interests in security, publishing and understanding aggregated readership. Where consent is required, you may refuse or withdraw it without losing essential access.

3. Cookies and privacy choices

Use the Privacy choices button available on every page to accept, reject or change non-essential categories. Essential technologies cannot be disabled through this tool. We recognise an enabled Global Privacy Control signal by keeping personalised advertising disabled. Browser controls can also delete stored data. In the EEA, UK and Switzerland, Google may present a certified consent platform when configured by the publisher.

4. Analytics, advertising and affiliates

We use Google Analytics and may use Google AdSense. Google and approved advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to serve, limit, personalise and measure ads, detect fraud and report performance. Learn how Google uses data on partner sites, review its Privacy Policy, and manage ads in My Ad Center.

Some recommendations contain clearly identified affiliate links, including links to Amazon, Mercado Livre and other programmes. If you purchase after following one, we may receive a commission at no additional cost to you. The merchant determines price, availability, fulfilment and its own data practices. Advertising and commissions do not buy favourable editorial conclusions.

5. Sharing, processors and international transfers

Information may be processed by hosting and security providers, Google services, newsletter or embedded-content platforms, affiliate networks, professional advisers and authorities when legally required. These providers act under their own terms or as processors/service providers. Because the site is available globally, data may be transferred to countries with different laws. Where required, providers rely on recognised transfer mechanisms and contractual safeguards.

6. Retention and security

We keep information only for the period reasonably necessary for the purposes above, legal compliance, dispute resolution and security. Browser preferences remain until they expire or you delete them. Contact messages are normally retained while the matter is active and may be archived for up to five years when needed for legal records. Hosting, analytics, advertising and affiliate providers apply their own documented retention schedules. We use access controls, HTTPS, updates, backups and minimisation measures, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

7. Your rights

Subject to applicable law, you may ask for confirmation and access, correction, portability, deletion, anonymisation, restriction or objection; information about recipients and consent consequences; withdrawal of consent; review of certain automated decisions; and non-discriminatory treatment. California residents may also opt out of sale or sharing and limit certain uses of sensitive information. We do not sell personal information for money; personalised advertising can nevertheless be treated as “sharing” under some US laws.

Send a request to falecom@woetter.com. State the right, relevant service and jurisdiction. We may verify identity and authorised agents before responding. You may also complain to Brazil's ANPD, your EU/EEA supervisory authority, the UK ICO, the California Privacy Protection Agency/Attorney General or another competent authority.

8. Children

The site is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13, nor do we knowingly profile minors for personalised advertising. Where local law requires a higher age for independent consent, a parent or guardian must authorise the activity. Contact us to request deletion of information submitted by a child.

9. Automated processing and external links

We do not make legal or similarly significant decisions solely by automated means. Advertising and external platforms may use automated systems under their own policies. Links to third-party sites do not make us responsible for their content, security or privacy practices.

10. Changes and contact

We may update this policy when the site, providers or law changes. Material changes will be highlighted where reasonably possible. The date above identifies the current version. Questions and requests: falecom@woetter.com.
